The good folks at Revolution News are too kind. I can be reasonable, but I can also be unreasonable and uncompromising, depending on the topic. I don’t mind telling them that Ron Paul unfortunately attracts a freak fringe of American society. I also don’t mind telling them that their candidate doesn’t have a prayer of winning.
I think deep down, they know this already, but are too stubborn to admit it at this point.
I know there is segment within the Paulist movement that is reasonable and even-keeled. I know they are passionate about their country. They don’t have this strange and vicious animus toward John McCain for example, and they perhaps can understand that the Constitution is not a fundamentalist tract. I also believe that some Paulists can understand that immigration is a business matter, that deporting all illegals is unfeasible and that they’re here to supply a shortfall in cheap labor. Like I’ve said elsewhere, the day Americans refused to pick lettuce and mow lawns for minimum wage was the day American business leaders looked across the border to find workers willing to work on the cheap. That’s reality.
My hope is that the Paulists will come to their senses and vote for McCain in November instead of either sitting out the election or voting Democrat. Either tactic smacks of selfishness and stupidity. Ensuring a Democrat win would be bad for America. I hope they think of what’s best for the whole nation instead of what’s best for themselves or the GOP.
To My Dear Friends at the Revolution News Weblog:
Your 3PO email account isn’t working. Please check. Thanks.
Dear readers:
There is another revolution afoot, a revolution where there’s no parsed language and dancing around tender sensibilities. Too many people in the blogosphere are just too damned frightened of what others will think of them if they say something that isn’t politically corrrect or racially sensitive.
David Black will never mince words!
Hi DB,
Enjoying your blog as always. Not much time to work on my own, but here’s something I did recently:

Obviously, my camera work needs a great deal of improvement, but not too terrible for a second effort.
